To receive a Certificate of Occupancy, the final step in this residential construction process, all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building inspections must pass. If the project is located in the Historic Overlay District (O-11), photographs need to be provided to the Historic Preservation Officer for final review and approval.
Once all inspections have passed, bring in the WPA-2 form to the front tellers at Planning and Development Services Department. The WPA-2 form is obtained from your Windstorm Engineer.
Tellers will hand you a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) slip to fill out.
All inspection approvals will be verified; applicant will receive a call.
Certificate of Occupancy for a single-family dwelling is $50.00.
