Acceptance Test
Acceptance tests are to be scheduled and paid for no sooner than 24 hrs in advance.
Tests to be done during inspection hours. Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-11 a.m. or 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
If applicable, approved plans must be on site
The person conducting the test must be a licensed commercial cooking suppression systems technician.
Company vehicle(s) must be onsite and clearly labeled.
If applicable, "As-Builts" must be provided for any deviations to initial approved plans
A manual pull station must activate the system (test mode) and be free of any obstructions
The link must automatically activate the system (test mode) and be free of any grease build-up, damage, and must be of correct temperature setting
All piping must be clear of obstructions
If applicable, activation of the system must activate the fire alarm notification system.
The approved separation between appliances
Openings must be sealed with approved material
Return air must shut down on activation of the system
Exhaust grease-laden vapors
Grease filters and hood/duct system over cooking equipment must be clean
