About Us

In 2011, the city created a new department, the Office of Strategic Initiatives. OSI is tasked with identifying, securing, managing grant funding that will promote an increase in quality of life for the community of Brownsville. It also serves as a City of Brownsville liaison with funding agencies and related entities, provides grant-related guidance and services support to all city departments, and ensures compliance with grant requirements.
