Brownsville to Host Civil Air Patrol Training
WHO:
The City of Brownsville
Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport
WHAT:
The U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol will host the first national 30-day in-residence flight training for cadets at their facility at the Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport.
This school will take the Civil Air Patrol cadets who have already soloed in a single-engine aircraft, to the completion of their private pilot license. Ten cadets have been chosen from around the country to attend this training which is being sponsored by the U.S. Air Force.
As a Total Force partner and Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol is there to search for and find the lost, provide comfort in times of disaster and work to keep the homeland safe.
Its 60,000 members selflessly devote their time, energy and expertise toward the well-being of their communities, while also promoting aviation and related fields through aerospace/STEM education and helping shape future leaders through CAP’s cadet program.
