This exciting multi-sporting, competitive event will take place July 27th to July 30th, bringing an estimated 7,000 athletes and thousands more in visitors from across the state to the vibrant City of Brownsville.

The Summer Games of Texas will feature a wide range of athletic competitions, spanning youth and adult categories in various sports. Events are set to include basketball, boxing, disc golf, flag football, golf, pickleball, skateboarding, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, and track & field. The City is ready to welcome thousands of athletes, their families, and spectators at numerous venues across Brownsville, including those provided by the Brownsville Independent School District.

The Games of Texas Grand Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Brownsville Sports Park – Championship Field with a pre-show commencing at 7:00 PM, followed by the main event at 8:00 PM.
As a member of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, the City of Brownsville is deeply committed to promoting amateur athletics. Hosting this event is an honor and a testament to the City’s dedication to fostering community engagement and promoting parks, recreation, and leisure services.
