[ARCHIVED] BARCC TEAMS UP WITH PETSMART CHARITIES TO HOST PET ADOPTIONS THIS WEEKEND

new Barcc

The Brownsville Animal Rescue and Care Center (BARCC) is partnering with PetSmart Charities® and local rescues to host an adoption event in support of National Adoption Week.

The event will take place from July 14 to July 16, 2023, at the PetSmart in Brownsville located at 585 Morrison Road.

"Our shelter is currently at capacity with over 200 animals under our roof.  We believe that every pet deserves a home and a second chance at life,” said Dr. Antonio Caldwell, deputy director of animal services for the City of Brownsville’s Public Health Department and Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center.

“The summer is a great time to introduce a new pet to your home. We are asking the community to support these animals in any way that they can. Come out and adopt. If you can't adopt, please spread the word. We hope to see you all there!," Caldwell said.

During the event, BARCC will have a variety of adoptable pets available, including dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. If you're interested in adding a furry friend to your family, this is a great opportunity to meet and spend time with the animals in spacious areas, ensuring you find the perfect match.

The adoption events will be held on the following dates and times:

Friday, July 14, 2023: Noon to 5 PM

Saturday, July 15, 2023: Noon to 5 PM

Sunday, July 16, 2023: Noon to 3 PM

The adoption fee for each pet is $25, providing a reasonable and affordable option for those looking to adopt. It's a chance to make a difference in an animal's life and provide them with a loving home.

If you're interested in attending, head over to the PetSmart in Brownsville during the specified event hours. BARCC and the participating rescues will be there to assist you in finding the perfect companion.
