Viking

The City of Brownsville Engineering and Public Works Department is actively involved in road construction projects. They are currently working on Viking Lane, specifically carrying  out milling and overlay work from Center Drive to El Paso Road, followed by repaving.

The projected cost of the project is mentioned as $71,345.58. It's worth noting that the funds for this project are being sourced from the 2021 Community Development Block Grant. This grant is a federally funded program aimed at assisting local communities in improving housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunities for low and moderate-income individuals.

By utilizing the Community Development Block Grant, the City of Brownsville is investing in the improvement of its road infrastructure, which plays a crucial role in enhancing transportation and connectivity for its residents.
