COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS OPERATING AGAIN AT BROWNSVILLE-SOUTH PADRE ISLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

New Airport

Commercial flight operations at the Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport were up and running against Monday afternoon.

Operations had ceased earlier in the day on Monday, September 25, 2023, due to an unknown glitch that affected not only the Brownsville South-Padre Island Airport but also the McAllen Airport in McAllen and Valley International Airport in Harlingen.

Private aircraft operations were not affected by this glitch, and were still able to fly in and out of the airport.
