The City of Brownsville Engineering and Public Works Department is working on capital improvement projects that will further the city’s commitment to improving infrastructure.

 Asphalt work on Price Road will commence on Monday, October 30, 2023, through the end of November between Expressway Frontage Road to Paredes Line Road. 

 Construction work involves a mill and overlay process which removes old pavement and replaces it with new asphalt.  Any damaged curb and gutter within the project’s limits will also be replaced.

 The public may experience lane closures and traffic delays along the project limits at various times during construction however, a traffic flow from east to west will be maintained.  

 Residents and commuters in the affected area should plan their routes and schedules accordingly.  

 The estimated cost of the construction is $196,878.82.
