The 14th annual Holiday Village at Dean Porter Park in Brownsville is going to be a wonderful holiday event for the entire family to enjoy.

The park, Dean Porter Park, is getting ready to be transformed into a holiday wonderland for the annual Holiday Village event.

Cottages for the event were delivered to the park on November 1, 2023, and November 2, 2023, with the help of employees from the City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department.

The cottages will be decorated in preparation for the event, which is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the Rio Grande Valley.

Dean Porter Park is located off Ringgold Street.

The event itself will take place from November 20, 2023, through January 1, 2024, providing a festive atmosphere for families to enjoy during the holiday season.
