BROWNSVILLE, Texas (May 2, 2017) – Brownsville Metro announces alignment improvements along Route 2 and Route 13 traveling to Sunrise Mall in Brownsville, as part of a newly formed Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Brownsville and Sunrise Mall.

Brownsville Metro Route 2 and Route 13 will undergo the following alignment improvements:

• Route 2: Brownsville Metro buses traveling along Route 2 will enter Sunrise Mall from Pablo Kisel Blvd., circle around and stop at two locations within Sunrise Mall, and then exit onto Pablo Kisel Blvd. going Northbound; and
  
  
• Route 13: Brownsville Metro buses traveling along Route 13 will enter the second entrance of Sunrise Mall from N. Frontage Road, circle around and stop at two locations within Sunrise Mall, and then exit onto Pablo Kisel Blvd. going Northbound.

Alignment improvements are temporary and dependent upon final Brownsville Transit Plan recommendations.

“Brownsville Metro heard from its patrons about the need for services to Sunrise Mall and we worked quickly to respond,” said Brownsville Metro Director Norma Zamora. “We’re excited to expand our quality services to the patrons of Sunrise Mall with safe and reliable transportation.”
