BROWNSVILLE, Texas (August 31, 2017) – City of Brownsville administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2017, in observance of Labor Day.
Residential and commercial trash collection services will continue to operate a normal schedule.
Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.
Hurricane Harvey Donation Drop-Off: The City of Brownsville will continue to accept donations for Hurricane Harvey relief from 10 a .m. to 8 p.m. beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2017, through Friday, September 8, 2017, at the Main Library Branch, 2600 Central Boulevard in Brownsville. Residents are encouraged to donate bottled water, non-perishable food items, diapers and toiletries.
Brownsville Metro & Metro Connect: Brownsville Metro bus service will operate a normal schedule from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017. Metro Connect intercity bus service will operate a holiday schedule from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017.

Brownsville Public Library System: Main and Southmost Branch libraries will be closed Monday, September 4, 2017. Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

The City of Brownsville Municipal Solid Waste Landfill will operate a normal schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017.
