Commissioner Cesar de Leon Resigns from Brownsville City Commission
BROWNSVILLE, Texas (October 6, 2017) – On Friday, October 6, 2017, the Office of the City Secretary
accepted a letter of resignation from Brownsville City Commissioner At-Large “A” Cesar de Leon.
The letter reads, in part: “It has been a privilege to work with such a dedicated and skilled team at the
City of Brownsville. I am deeply grateful for all of the City’s staff for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the community they love.”
Commissioner Cesar de Leon was elected on May 9, 2015, with a term expiration date of May 20, 2019.
