Do you love the holidays?  Bright lights and festivities?  Have you ever wanted to be the person with the power to light up and incredible amount of Christmas lights?  Do you want to be the guest who kicks off the Holiday season in Brownsville, Texas?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is the contest for you.  It's also very easy!

The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department is giving YOU the chance to be the Christmas Light commander.  All you have to do is register HERE for a chance to be an honored guest at the Holiday Lighting Ceremony of Washington Park on December 2, 2017.

As the Light Commander, you will have the power to switch the lights on and kick of the holiday celebration/season.

We will be taking registrations November 17-November 30.

Names will be placed into raffle and then randomly selected.

If you're the winner, Parks and Recreation staff will contact you and make arrangements.  

There is no limit to register, and we hope you encourage your friends and family to participate too.
