BROWNSVILLE, Texas (June 21, 2018) – Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez announced today that he has issued a disaster declaration for the City of Brownsville in response to inclement weather due to tropical disturbance 4.
The City of Brownsville’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was partially activated beginning Wednesday, June 20, 2018, to coordinate city. The EOC will remain partially active until further notice.
“The City of Brownsville in conjunction with the Brownsville Public Utilities Board and our emergency response departments are working to address the safety concerns of our community,” said Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez. “The well-being of our residents is the highest priority, we ask the community to stay safe and avoid traveling in high waters.”
