BROWNSVILLE, Texas (June 29, 2018) – City of Brownsville administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in observance of Independence Day. Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.

546-HELP: Brownsville’s non-emergency hotline, 546-HELP (4357), will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Brownsville Animal Regulation & Care Center: The Brownsville Animal Regulation & Care Center (BARCC) will be closed to the public Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Brownsville Metro & Metro Connect: Brownsville Metro administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Brownsville Metro fixed and paratransit route services will not be available. Metro Connect Red and Green Line bus services will run from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Blue Line services will run from 5:20 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Brownsville Public Library System: Main and Southmost Branch libraries will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2018.  Normal hours of operation will resume on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Public Works Department: Public Works Department offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume on Thursday, July 5, 2018. The City of Brownsville Municipal Solid Waste Landfill will operate a normal schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and residential and commercial trash collection services will operate a normal schedule.
