WHAT:
The City of Brownsville Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security and Public Works Department will provide free sand and bags to Brownsville residents on Friday, July 13, and Saturday, July 14, 2018, at three locations including Les Mauldin, Monte Bella and Industrial Park.
Residents must present an official Driver License/ID and a Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) Account of Charges prior to obtaining sand and bags.
Residents are limited to eight bags and businesses may receive up to 10 bags. In addition, residents are encouraged to bring a shovel.
Prefilled sandbags will be available at each location for the disabled, a disabled placard must be provided to receive prefilled sandbags.
