On September 16, 2014, the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) approved our promotional sponsorship application for the Community Voice Campaign.
This year, the Office of Grant Management & Community Development (OGM/CD) will focus its attention to the CycloBia event scheduled on December 14, 2014. With a consistent increase in attendance, the Community Voice Campaign will use CycloBia to assure the community their voices are heard. At this event, there will be surveys and informative flyers provided to adults, youth, and children that will notify the participants of the programs available in their area, including the HOME, ESG, and CDBG Programs. At CycloBia, a Community Voice tent will promote both the campaign and BCIC. Crayons with both logos will be provided to children to fill out surveys. Other promotional items such as temporary tattoos, baseball caps, mini first-aid kits, and even bike reflectors will also be provided. With the distribution of promotional items, the OGM/CD expects a positive outcome for both BCIC and for the Community Voice Campaign.
