BROWNSVILLE, Texas (September 17, 2018) – The City of Brownsville announces the appointment of James Paschall as Interim Police Chief of the Brownsville Police Department, effective, Monday, September 17, 2018.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of James Paschall as Interim Police Chief of the Brownsville Police Department. Paschall’s commitment to the department will be an asset as he oversees administrative operations,” said Interim City Manager Michael L. Lopez. “The City of Brownsville is currently accepting internal applications for the position of Police Chief, we look forward to reviewing the applications from the excellent selection of candidates”
Paschall first joined the Brownsville Police Department in 1989 as a Probationary Patrolman. In 1993, Paschall was promoted to Police Sergeant, in 2001 he advanced to the role of Police Lieutenant prior to serving as Police Commander from September 2010 to present.
