City of Brownsville Offices Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (November 21, 2018) – City of Brownsville administrative offices will be closed  Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.

546-HELP: Brownsville’s non-emergency hotline, 546-HELP (4357), will be closed Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume Monday, November 26, 2018.

Brownsville Animal Regulation & Care Center: The Brownsville Animal Regulation & Care Center (BARCC) will be closed to the public Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Brownsville Metro & Metro Connect: Brownsville Metro Administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018. Brownsville Metro & Metro Connect bus services will not operate on Thursday, November 22.  Normal hours of operation for both Brownsville Metro and Metro Connect bus service will resume on Friday, November 23, 2018. La Plaza at Brownsville Metro Terminal will be open from 3:00 a.m. – 12 a.m. La Plaza Parking Garage will be open (24 hours).

Brownsville Public Library System: Main and Southmost Branch libraries will be closed Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018.  Normal hours of operation will resume on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Public Works Department: Public Works Department offices will be closed Thursday, November 22, and Friday, November 23, 2018. Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, November 26, 2018. The City of Brownsville Municipal Solid Waste Landfill will operate a normal schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and residential and commercial trash collection services will operate a normal schedule.
