The City of Brownsville Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with Home Depot invite the community to drop off their Christmas Trees at the Christmas Tree Recycling Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, and Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Home Depot stores in Brownsville. Tree-recycling is free for the community.
Keep Brownsville Beautiful Youth volunteers will assist in collecting the trees. The public in encouraged to please remove all decorations, lights and tinsel before dropping off Christmas trees. The trees will be recycled: chipped into mulch and used at city parks and beautification projects.
