Javier Chavez, Jr. joined the City of Brownsville in September 1997. With over 16 years of experience working with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investments Partnership Program (HOME) and Hearth Emergency Solutions Grant (HESG) programs, Javier is responsible for ensuring administrative requirements are met for each program. Javier is also the Additional Duty Safety Officer (ADSO) for the department, maintaining compliance with standards and codes relating to Occupational Safety and Health.
