Chief Paschall was appointed as Interim Chief of Police on September 17, 2018. At
this capacity, he is responsible for the overall operations of the Brownsville Police
Department and oversees 247 sworn officers and 144 civilian personnel.
Chief Paschall has served the Brownsville Police Department for over 30 years. He
started his career in law enforcement in 1989 and successfully advanced through
the command ranks.
In January 15, 1993 he was promoted to Police Sergeant and was later promoted
to Police Lieutenant in December 7, 2001. During his career, Chief Paschall has
been assigned to various divisions in the department. Such assignments include,
Patrol Division, Special Investigations Unit, Criminal Investigations Unit, and
Internal Affairs. He served as a Commander of the Support Services Command,
where he supervised Fiscal Management Office, Emergency Communications
Center, City Jail, Records Division, Property and Evidence, Maintenance staff and
the Supplies Division
