I was born in Walnut Creek, CA. In 2006, I Graduated from California State University, Chico with a bachelor's in Recreation Administration option in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in French. 

My previous job was Assistant Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Brownsville where I started in Jan 2014. 

Prior to that I worked for the city of Austin Parks and Recreation Department as an Inclusion Coordinator as a CTRS helping those with special needs access recreation services by creating success plans for the participant working with their family and site staff. 

Prior to that I worked in Reno, NV as a CTRS with children and youth with psychological and behavioral disorders using recreation as a therapeutic tool to work through the challenges they faced in life and learn how to overcome obstacles. 

Currently, I serve as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Brownsville working on enhancing our current operations and enhancing our parks and recreation services to the community to ensure equity, wellness and nature/conservation efforts. 

One of my passions has been travel and see what other national & international cities do to offer exceptional quality of life for their communities.
